Arts & Books

The arts of the 1960s are as varied as any decade in 20th-century America.  Architecture, fine arts, design, literature; the performing arts such as theater, dance, and classical music are all represented. Like other disciplines of the 1960s Project, the Arts category surprises for the people it contains and for its accomplishments that float above the unconventional and psychedelic aspects associated with the period. These accomplishments are impressive for their constructive contributions to American civic life.

If you have an expertise in some aspect of the Arts from the 1960s, we encourage you to contribute here.
